What is a Blog?
Here is the defintion in Wikipedia.... but in simple words, it is an on line journal. You can use it to post your thoughts, pictures, audio or music you record and upload, videos, and other items you create and "digitize" to put on the net. The term "blog" is gotten from the term "Web log." "Blog" can also be used as a verb, meaning to maintain or add content to a blog.

As of November 2006, blog search engine Technorati was tracking nearly 60 million blogs.

The elgg, Personal Learning Space is a blog. It is a place where you can have your teacher sign you up and you can have your own blog but it will post to the other 700+ students signed up there. If you would like to join the Personal Learning Space, ask your computer teacher to give you your user name and password. This is a safe place to blog since no one can get in but those who are signed up. To see an example of an elgg, go to the high school elgg called Youthvoices since anyone can see their blog entries.

Youthbridges is a site made by youth for youth. You can go to this site and sign up and experiment with blogging. Another place you can create blogs is WordPress
